Struggling channel Five is up for sale. The station’s owners, RTL, have started up a tender process for organisations to bid to take on the channel that reportedly £37 million last year.
One company keen to get a foot in the door of terrestrial broadcast, is BSkyB, who could well look to take on the channel. Other possibles are ITV and Channel 4, who’ve has their own financial struggles of late too. We’ve also heard rumours that Big Brother owners Endemol, or the US studio Warner Brothers could be interested im making a bid too.
