I watched this episode, and it was a story told well enough. There were some amazingly professional high-class special effects and many explanations to help us keep up with what was happening. Wherever the Doctor turns up, there’s a backstory. This gives us the impression that a companion has a secret theme that gets unfolded episode by episode. If you think that the death scenes of falling heroes and heroines are exciting, then you miss the point of the companion’s compassion for her part in their downfall. She comes across as a medical nurse with an inbuilt duty complex to sacrifice herself to stop the slaughter.

:
For one character in this story, it was Sasha waste… and enough to make a Time Lord cry.
:
I’ve seen how the Doctor gets to react to the horrors of his adventures, I’ve seen the collateral damage, and I’ve even seen the Doctor cry. He doesn’t give up despite the tragedies. The mistakes are tragic, but the stakes are high, so he does what he can and motivates others. Some live, some die. He knows that well, but when he sees no other way, he leads them into battle, risking his life and theirs. He may regenerate, but they don’t.
:
Take it or leave it, this is the reality he faces now and then. He lives with it, they don’t. In this episode, we see how others blame his companion until she faces her part of the blame based on circumstances beyond her control. Calling these circumstances timey-wimey doesn’t change the solemn outcomes.
:
In this story, we learn of an extra situation called melding with someone else and entering into that person’s timeline. That changes the Doctor into his positive-thinking approach to life yet again. So this new season has changed the companion story into another Mystery Tour.
:
It’s like the Doctor saying, I’m special, you’re special…

Some can access the BBC iPlayer and see it for UHD picture quality. For so much eye candy as this show presented, that must be wonderful on a large screen TV. I’m going red, blue and green with envy…
:
Check Google for UHD TVs and devices. Visit TV showrooms for on-site demos. Then decide if you want to go bankrupt or not.

I watched episode 2 about a mysterious cinema in which people went missing.
The companion’s I wanna go home theme was changed to What could it hurt to investigate? From then on, her life was put in danger until finally the whole thing turned around, and ended up lucky for one and all. The Disney cartoon and musical situation was unusual, but still made the story worth watching.
