Perhaps if we check beyond Google we may get useful results for our searches and whatever related results may show us as well.

If you want to search the net then remember to search-here.

I recently saw a computer screen notice by the 360 Security program. This notice was offering me the chance to install the 360 web browser. I did so and checked what the chromium-based browser could do. My first check was for http://www.ecosia.com and http://www.ecosia.org because older web browsers can’t access the search engine service. The 360 web browser could so I was able to view the content and customise the search settings. The Settings for Downloads was changed so I updated that to send downloads to my usual folder instead. The web browser had a few search engines to select from so I switched from ad-based Google to ecosia while still able to edit that choice later.

A recent YouTube video was about Google and Bing as ad-based rather than search-results-based.The Duckduckgo search engine was slightly better and a pay-for search engine service was also recommended. Search engines have filters that include the time range and the file types and special phrases that get refined results.

Android devices really need the very latest Android versions and apk updates to cope with today’s Internet. Otherwise, it’s more miss than hit with https web pages and SSL certificate errors. That’s why some customers need several apks of different web browsers.

Another YouTube video was about clearing out some applications. The advice was based on going to Settings and clearing out Data and Cache before uninstalling the apps. The alternative way to shift data was to move it to the inserted external storage SD card. If that was done for a specific app, then return the data to the “phone” and then delete data and cache before the uninstall process starts.
