The Netgem website email subscribers get notified of new channels in Netgem’s 800+ range. These aren’t letting us record to our USB Flash drives. We merely retune and scroll down to view these along with dozens that Netgem added. 2022.
There have been some new channels added to Freeview such as 281 for Revelation TV, 282 for GOD TV and 283 for 3ABN. Internet Stream channels like these aren’t recordable either.
Even so, I connect the HDMI cable to the HDMI to SCART Adapter then by cable to the DVD Recorder’s SCART input. Then the SCART output goes to the SCART to HDMI Adapter then to the HDMI input on the TV.
Another alternative is a SCART to SCART cable for the DVD Recorder which also has its own HDMI to HDMI TV input eg Toshiba DVD Recorder with its own hard drive and its own HDMI cable out to the TV’s HDMI input.
I noticed that we may need to adjust the TV colour and brightness settings, too.

When we get to check the Apps we may see several File Managers and we can test these to find differing results. So it helps to see if we can copy and move files and view these with zoom-in click actions. Some images will be seen separately and offers may be a slideshow or a click to see the next image. Many images may need to get renamed and that can apply to the name or the extension.
Some apps can convert to the usual jpg format but webp and gif files may be animated playing files instead and then we need File Managers to test these, too. Or we view in our installed web browsers such as Silk, Phoenix, Amaze and others we can test such as TV Bro.
Some browsers let us save images or clean up the file storage. Various cache storage should be left intact to load the website pages faster.
Video Players have differing features so we need to find out what features help us. The Applications section helps us learn the app icons or logo images and these serve as reminders.
We are told to open Settings then My Fire Tv then About for various tests such as the latest Software update or just to manually test it again.

I pasted a poem there. The response was that it was detected as too long a question. Then the whole poem was displayed in white text against a colour background. I learned to add 2 lines above and below to improve that display. I used Print Scrn next to F12 to copy the displayed area.
I edited using an image editor to crop to the colour background. I saved that so I could add this as an extra to one of my denismartindale–co–uk poems.
I wrote a new poem called Poe to explain what poe–com can do besides creating images we could use on the poemhunter–com website. Once uploaded, the image URl can be used on the quora–com website which has recently offered AI images being added to our posts there.
The poe–com website feedback I got was that we can use the AI images, within the standard guidelines.

This week, a Web-Search led to a photo I needed.I hadn’t found that image in any Google search so I was happy to get something extra thanks to poe–com
As for the AI text-to-image results, I got a lot of hit-and-miss responses quite quickly yet these improved until I ran out of tests after about 80 images. Then I was told to try later.

The development of AI for answering questions has been made possible in this generation like never before. We can use various text-to-image website resources and compare free AI images as well as paid-for services.
So poe–com offers us an intro in the artful creator scenario and probably helps us create celebrity poses or scenery backgrounds for various genres.
The website has other bots or features such as Web-Search. We ask and we get. It’s not necessarily anything like what we were needing but we can continue with the same query or modify the query for other results.
Sometimes we become the editors of the questions just to get the answers summarised for us in return. The AI adds to its knowledge if we add to our questions with that knowledge. So it’s not just hit-and-miss but developing through our desire for more logical and truthful responses.
The perplexity–ai service follows in the same way as the poe–com Web-Search does. So we can’t expect every question can be answered as we would expect. We adapt as soon as we discover the results don’t result in much at first.
Still, it’s a way to create short summaries of the info and then build up to more and more soon after.

This is another search option and it loads up images that may be helpful if we wait for these to keep loading them to display these for us, NB note the website sources will vary.
Some search engine don’t provide any images for search results but here are some images using the Ecosia Search engine, for new searches access ecosia–com first of all.

NB I edit out the extra characters that the Google web page adds after the main search URL part as shown above.
I view the complete URL then manually position the cursor then forward delete the unwanted characters then I copy the part I want to use. Now I can paste that here in a new post as long as it’s the ONLY URL as more URLs seem to block the post getting accepted and posted here.

This new forum has a few extra Internet ads which may be accessed and may also act as affiliation links that could benefit the forum financially. Ads by Google may allow us to get some ads shut down, such as with the reasons we’ve seen these or they were not appropriate or blocking the main web page content.
We can still shop around using google–com and other shopping reviews and comparison websites.
Nowadays, we’ve got the main TV channels as well as Internet streamed channels. When we select a film or a show there may be some playback settings we can change. That may apply to the equipment or device or the video settings or the ability to edit the recordings even if using a DVD Recorder getting the playback itself. Sometimes we see a full screen and sometimes we see the black side panels that ruin the view. Many modern TVs are using the 16:9 or 16:10 widescreen format but the playback may not always allow us to adjust the view to that 16:9 view. If we explore other devices and apps and so on, we may find a widescreen playback and yet it may not be in high quality HD or 4K upscaled views or even true 4K views.
If we visit justwatch–com we may search for a film or TV show or series and find it’s available free or we can subscribe or even get a free home trial to test further. It’s available as an app as well. Even so, some films and TV shows may also be available on various golden oldie players and these apps may be showing a soft focus playback instead. So we still need to explore. Sometimes we compromise just because we get the high quality playback regardless of the black side bars.
These points don’t actually finish off the matter. You see, the TV itself may allow us to extend the width of the playback view from 4:3 to 16:9. Beyond this is the option to record the content and use computer video player programs to customise the viewing format beyond the 16:9 view. This stretching action takes the original recording to the point we can view the content at a customised full screen view even though it expands beyond it and we only see the central area itself.
So if we search Google Play Store for video players we may find these extra options or get even better quality upscaling done through these apps. There are computer programs that download from websites such as YouTube yet upscale these to 4K quality instead. So we can try these and then use the other players to see what results we get.

Doctor Who came on again and he had a lot on his mind this week. This time it was a war zone situation and that made me wonder why some think this is a TV series for kids. Even so, there were unusual circumstances at play and eventually these get explained so there’s light at the end of the tunnel, just not for everybody. A key factor is that the energy of a Time Lord regeneration could blow up a big chunk of the planet, so no pressure then.
