The discount applied even for new accounts. So I had to create a new account to sign in and then I used Paypal to make that order for me. The thankyou web page confirmed the order for me.
In the extra info part of the home delivery address, I typed in Deliver to rather than adding my phone number there. In the street name, I typed that and the local town as well. These helped to display the correct address for the order.
I got 5 grey items plus another 5 of a different grey item at that same price of £8 each.

I got a 30% discount for orders of 2 or more items so I bought 10 XL Mens Joggers for £80 and free delivery so the £24 discount reduced the order to £56 instead.

Once the http://www.re-vived.com sale ended, it was time to redeem my 600+ loyalty points to get a saving of £60. I redeemed 200 at a time, paying just over £10 to get free delivery each time.
This time, I bought 62 Christian DVDs at their reduced prices so that saved £560 right there, and a few extra paperbacks meant a final total of £620 saved.
:Technology costs way too much in the first 2 years it gets introduced but we may get special discounts such as from eBay and its selected sellers’ items or new companies offering discounts. Sale events happen and switch between 10% and 25% off so we may wait for the 20% discounts but we can at least view the 10% and 15% discounts to see if we like anything for future orders. NB if delivery is free then we get that discount at a better level rather than paying separately for it.
The new HDMI 2.2 standard offers so much more for general displays but even better for gamers and their TV displays. Even so, some Smart TVs may require a minimum of 2 Mb or 5 Mb Broadband speeds anyway. For faster access we switch off other Internet streaming devices if we can and we use Ethernet cables rather than wi-fi connections.

:In the consumer electronics topics for YouTube videos we may see advice about TVs to buy or not to buy or settings to customise or to switch on or off. The Smart TV 4K TVs are probably good enough if we start at over £300 but these may be the medium sizes from 32″ to 50″. Our TVs are meant to be viewed in room sizes fit for them but the TVs may not display small text or links that well. So we should think about 4K Smart TVs at the 50″ and above sizes. Basically, we really ought to buy when the sales are on rather than at the full prices. Sometimes we need to visit the stores to really get firsthand access to what the TVs can display. At home, we adjust settings and may study YouTube technical advice for specific TV makes and model numbers.
However, I prefer to buy from Richer Sounds to get a full 6-year warranty coverage as well as a discount deal. I want a TV that offers the satellite cable input known as S2. That way, I can use a Sky dish cable to get the single satellite access on a Sky+ HD box and its scart access using any AV input option I can use via a scart to AV adapter. I like several HDMI cables if I can get these, too. I believe there’s a new higher standard quality HDMI cable available for 2025. Even so, such TVs cost a lot and may last for 6 years and even more…
The 25% discount ends today and the discount gets applied at the checkout.
For orders over £100 we could use Paypal Credit for 4 months at % interest.
So once my order went through I would save £178 this time with about 530 loyalty points worth £50 when redeemed after the December Sale. As free delivery is included there will be a total saving on the future order and the grand total of my savings would be almost £230. However, when the prices return to normal the future savings must pay towards the higher prices anyway.
As I already had over 50 points not yet used my savings go up from £50 to £60 later.
Whatever the purchases I’ve made in 2024, I’ve secured enough discounts that will help pay the TV Licence Tax in 2025.
Some customers use the QUIDCO cashbacks or some bank or building society cashbacks, too…

Another £10 off a £60 order to end 2024.
The order was accepted and I’ve increased my savings yet again!
I sometimes use this website and customise the regional settings to the UK: http://www.100searchengines.com
Another suggestion is offering several search engines to check: http://www.search-here.netI got another 99p 7-day Amazon Prime Video subscription and
I enjoyed watching the Santa gets kidnapped film RED ONE.groceries.morrisons.com
Another voucher code used for a £60 order and delivery for the 23rd of December 2024. This time I got an extra set of savings for £16.50+ so I save a (so-called) £30 just before Christmas!
It’s likely that millions here in the UK may buy brand new TVs this Christmas and in 2025. I was surprised to watch a YouTube video about buying from High Street stores such as Currys. Local stores such as Currys may seem convenient for returning faulty items but the 12-month or 24-month warranty coverage is the reason there’s a lower price than other companies and stores offering a 5-year or a 6-year warranty coverage such as John Lewis and Richer Sounds.
Modern Smart TVs may get broken because of a top heavy effect based on weight as well as feeble supports under the TVs. Even my LG and Hisense TVs are not the best support designs. So the YouTube video explained a broken screen costs hundreds to replace if the customer insists on it or the insurance covers that cost and doesn’t offer a new replacement TV instead.
The somewhat recent Sales of Goods Act has to be reconsidered as customers out to get TVs that last 5 years and even more. However, some TVs are deliberately sold with substandard parts and some TVs had to get withdrawn.
Another factor is energy usage and costs as well as changing the default ECO-settings on some TVs. We may need to reconsider what we pay for our customised settings that require higher costs than the default settings.
It’s possible that the electricity and gas standing charges may be revised with energy companies ordered to provide tariffs without these charges. The companies would simply charge more per energy unit anyway, but very low users could save some money and perhaps even more if using a fast microwave than the gas oven taking longer.
The 4K Smart TVs have efficiency ratings for energy usage but people may be more interested in the other specifications and apps. Even some some YouTube videos question if Smart TVs are really worth the extra money and that could depend on any freebie or home trial discounts the TVs display which could save customers money.
The horrible TV Licence Tax increases by £5 in 2025 so no chance of a cancellation for tens of millions of customers who hardly ever watch BBC shows or use the BBC iPlayer online.
As for extra TV channels the Internet access provides, I use the Netgem Netbox 4K model as it lets me add over 100 Netgem Internet channels when I retune the Freeview channels so a secondhand purchase on eBay proves very helpful to get even more channels and apps.
YouTube has several tutorials and tricks and tips and TV settings advice so that’s another app for our TVs and devices to access.
In any case, I look for 4K Smart TVs with the little circle input for satellite TV and Radio channels as I’ve got spare satellite dish cables to receive Sky and Freesat frequencies. However, the ultra picture quality receivers for Sky Q and Virgin Media’s 360 box don’t let me record content via a SCART output or HDMI output to my DVD Recorder. Both receivers had to be taken away and I was switched back to Sky+ cables instead. I don’t recommend Sky Glass or Sky Stream either. I’m staying with my 2TB storage Sky+ box instead so with my Sky subscription I can store content and download it, too.
As for Sky, I prefer NOW TV for Sky Cinema and cancel that every now and then rather than get Sky’s long 18-month contract at a discount price yet hardly ever watched… Sky Entertainment is worthwhile because of the extras at a discount if you’re lucky…
My current Disney+ subscription ends on Boxing Day so I visited the website again and checked available films and TV shows. My PC doesn’t stream anything but I needed to check details anyway. I switched to the 4K TV to access Disney+ there and checked the MARVEL content. I was pleased to watch some of the ASSEMBLED film documentaries about the making of films such as Black Widow as well as Deadpool and Wolverine. I learned so much about the actors and actresses and the stunt men and women and the setting up of massive sets used for some of the scenes. The documentaries were marvellous to say the least so I thought that it could be useful here on the forum to know about these comic book characters and the incredible attention to detail that is required to make these blockbusters.
The eBay 15% discount deal ends on the 17th of December 2024.
https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_7116143159
Code JINGLE15 for minimum orders of £10 and maximum discount of £75.
If the item is with free delivery then even better value rather than paying separately for this.
Check the categories and any eBay search results that include the discount code.
The MSE email I received had a tiny TV Licence update
TV licence fee to rise by £5 to £174.50/yr from April 2025
So they ain’t gonna cancel it, are they?
Some comment, well, that’s just an extra £5 a year. Some say differently, it’s even more bills to pay for years to come and for what? Millions rebel against the TV Licence Tax and the harassment and the £1,000 fine. I get benefits and these include the TV Licence as a part of the cost of living payments which may seem quite nice at first. However, there are millions who miss out on benefits or legitimate claims based on the National Insurance payments they paid and their employers paid, too. I realise that if the TV Licence Tax was abolished that the Government could take that £3 a week away from benefits and merely delay future benefit increases accordingly. Even so, think of the reduced misery of not being harassed into paying something that needn’t have been charged for in the first place!
What many forget about is that the TV adverts on hundreds of other TV channels announce thousands of discount deals every single year and could easily pay for a TV Licence many times over. Look at this forum discussion for the ways I’ve saved thousands of pounds on the Internet less a few hundred pounds for the Broadband and phone line rental charges. Mind you, millions don’t have a computer at all. But a 4K Smart TV offers us some Internet web browser access that could prove useful as well as some apps on various devices as the Amazon Fire Stick or Android set-top boxes.
Some 4K Smart TVs have their own TV channels as extras such as the LG TVs do. Then again, the Netgem Netbox 4K set-top box has over a hundred of its own extra TV channels we access when we retune channels. So while I oppose the TV Licence Tax I still pay it through my bank or by a credit card if the bank payment fails. I learned recently that some payments don’t go through for some licence payers and they are regarded as criminals. The BBC and certain banks have a lot to answer for. So do the Governments for permitting the BBC fiascos to happen and to continue.
Still, I’m not paying my TV Licence as the Government benefits I get do that for me.
Fav shows such as Doctor Who and Superman and Lois are basically all I really watch as live TV shows.
A couple of grocery orders on the http://www.morrisons.com website led to about £33 as my extra discounts. The available items dictate the actual savings because stocks can decrease as Christmas approaches. I used 2 email accounts to get the 2 discounts and I could save a lot for a multi-buy item as well.
I saved about £10 on http://www.amazon.co.uk compared for the same item recently. Some items are sent delivery free so we need to look for these rather than sign up for Amazon Prime every time.
