From the Search box or from the TV Channels section, you can now find programmes from other video-on-demand providers. This includes broadcasters ITV, Channel 4 and Channel 5, as well as content from SeeSaw. If you select a link from a non-BBC provider, you’re taken to their site (i.e. the video doesn’t play through the BBC iPlayer)
Other video-on-demand operators are able to apply for inclusion on the BBC iPlayer feed.
Being able to search for content from the main broadcasters in one place is a nice feature… a prelude to the YouView on-demand service (whenever that launches…)
Many thanks iPlayer team!
Yea all well and good but when is the iplayer available on the iphone????
It is. From March 2008, it’s been possible to watch BBC iPlayer on the iPhone. See https://www.radioandtelly.co.uk/bbciplayer.html#iphone
The iplayer app not as a bookmark its available on the ipad so when will it be available as an app on the iphone???
Am I the only one missing the point here?
When the Beeb decide to make the iplayer service subscription only (and its already in the pipeline) then its more tv programmes your not gonna be able to watch.
