TV channel Bravo has today ceased broadcasting, after being on-air for over 25 years.
The station, aimed at men in their 20s, 30s and 40s, was sold to BSkyB in 2010, and Sky took the decision to turn off the service to concentrate on other channels. The TV channel Channel One (formerly Virgin 1) is also set to cease soon.
Bravo, and sister station Bravo 2 ceased broadcasting on Sky and Virgin on Saturday the 1st of January, after being one of the first satellite TV channels to launch back in 1985.
We’re sorry to see you go, Bravo!
Such a shame as Bravo was one of the main channel watched in our house by all family members.
Hope there’s a chance of its return soon.
I am incredibly upset with this and want it to be returned as it is mine and my family’s main source of programming. `If this isnt going to take place then I would like to know if TNA IMPACT will be showing on any other channel because I have been viewing it since 2007 and am futious not to be able to continue. If anybody knows please send me an email on jake1oo@aol.com thanks.
This is an outrage, one of the best channels in viewing history is off the air now, i’d love to know the thinking behing it. if you think about it, their must be hundreds of channels on sky that nobody watches and infomercials are all over the place, im boycotting sky in our house now… pathetic suits ruined 2011…..
I only have Freeview and I enjoy Channel One, shame it is going. Freeview won’t be worth having at all soon.
I use to like watching sin city bring it back
well well well fancy taking bravo off the air its one off the best channels!!! BUT thats sky for you, it all boil down to money ???
freeview is fast becoming the plus 1 of the terrestrial channels what the viewer is looking for is new channels not just to catch up.
When channel 1 ceases we will loose some excellent programmes.
Sky flex their muscles yet again !!!!
