We’ve just discovered that BT has announced a special offer, so we thought it was time to remind you what BT Vision has to offer:
BT’s Latest Offer
As an online exclusive, you can now get the TV Essentials pack, plus BT Broadband and Anytime Calls, for just £4 for the first three months. This rises to £20 a month after that.
Until the 29th of September, you can also claim a £25 Amazon.co.uk Gift Voucher.
BT Vision – Cheaper Than Sky
On a day that has seen Sky’s prices rise, many may be pleased to know that BT Vision’s subscription is £4 a month for the basic service, or £12.50 for the Unlimited package.
OK – You don’t get as many channels as you get on Sky, and BT Vision sadly doesn’t offer any of the HD TV channels, but if you’re tired of paying for a bunch of satellite channels that you don’t watch, Vision is worth a look.
It’s ideal for those that don’t like paying huge monthly fees, but want more than the free services such as Freeview and Freesat.
Premier League Sport
Sky Sports 1, Sky Sports 2 and ESPN are available on BT Vision. ESPN is free on the Unlimited package, again saving on rival’s charges
Vision+ Recorder
High-spec black set-top box that includes a hard disc recorder, and does all you’d expect, such as Series Link, Live Pause, TV rewind and programme guide. The search feature is great as you can search for live shows, existing recording and on-demand content from one screen. You can also search by actor.
More on Vision
If you want some more information on the service, take a look at our BT Vision Review.
Alternatively, take a look at www.bt.com.btvision, where you’ll find the offer we refer to above, and more details. Remember, the offer is an online exclusive – you won’t get this if you call BT.
The small print: The Amazon Gift Certificate is only available until the 29th of September 2011. Available to new BT Broadband customers ordering BT Broadband and Anytime Calls on its own, or with the BT Vision Essential or Unlimited package. To get the Amazon voucher, you will need to go to www.bt.com/claimvoucher once your broadband / BT Vision has been installed. One Amazon voucher per household only.
I hear all my mates complain how expensive & greedy SKY sports is so i’m not surprised their Movies are daylight robbery.
Bring on the day when the equally greedy Premier League decides to bring their matches to a larger @ more discerning audience.
I’m surprised that no one has added an update to this item but the price of the package quoted above went up on the 30th Sept to £24 with the first 3 months at £14. The BT Vision service stays at £4 as before but the phone & bb element of the package rises from £16 to £20 (+25%). If you’re not a BT customer you can’t subscribe to BTV without taking the phone & bb package therefore this rise is quite steep & has certainly put me off. Shame because I like the look of the BTV service, particularly with the cheap Sky Sports offer.
