BT Vision Gets a Facelift

BT Vision LogoBT’s on-demand TV service has just had a visual overhaul.

First off, BT Vision has a new logo, pictured to the right. Grey, blue and triangles being very much the theme.

Next up, the website has had a refresh and a fresh coat of electronic paint

The big change though, is to the interface:

BT Vision Software Update

The original grey and the new black BT Vision boxes have been updated to a new version of firmware. The updates have been rolling out to BT Vision users over the last few weeks, and feedback here into Radio and Telly towers is generally positive.

The original black and blue everso-slightly drab interface has been replaced with a cleaner grey-and-purple interface.

As well as changing the colour scheme, there have been a few other changes, including:

  • Removal of the transparent backgrounds on the menu, in favour of a non-transparent grey
  • Bugfixes: The pre-padding and HDMI lipsync issues have apparently now been fixed
  • Changes to the movie section to emphasise the “Box Office” option on the menu
  • Changes to the menu, such as “My Vision”, which includes “Messages”, “Try This”, “Games” and “Current Rentals”
  • It’s now easier to do a bulk delete of recordings, from a recording’s Settings menu
  • A few minor cosmetic changes, such as changing “Replay” to “Replay (Catch-up)

The change is being rolled out automatically to BT Vision users, so if you haven’t already got the revised and refreshed interface, it should be with you very soon.
