Great yet another waste of space channel taking up precious freeview slots.
can’t see the point putting that channel on from 5am till 8am as alot of people wont watch it at that time of morning.. you should remove half of babestation and put daystar on from 9am till 12midnight give people chance to see what the channel is all about
Daystar began at the end of March 2011. Just a few programmes with a few different ones at the weekend. Useful to record the shows and to fast forward to see what’s being shared eg Christian testimonies and teachings and Bible verses accompanied with scenic landscapes and soft music. This Freeview channel 47 isn’t the exact programming as for the Sky Digital Daystar channel. Daystar isn’t as widely known as GOD TV and Revelation TV on Sky 580 and 581 which both send out emails and post monthly updates and support donations online. Revelation TV recently announced a phone application to view their channel as well as on the Internet and various USB TV and Radio dongles for PCs and laptops.
For basic websites info, http://www.lyngsat.com/28east.html and http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skyuk.html where the Channel names are text links to the various websites, Christian and others, too.
Daystar is helpful as a way to share the Christian faith, in time for Easter and Pentecost holidays. Even so, Freeview isn’t 100% reception reliable and some may prefer getting Sky or Freesat installed so as to see the other Gospel channels, some offering more family shows and more UK programming and news updates. As a Cristian I am not realy fond of all the Christian channels as I believe that American or Amercanised tele evengelists represent Jesus in the wrong way. However, I enjoy watching the oputput of Daystar on Freeview. The balance seems to better between Christian chat/interview/music. It is a bit disappointing to only have the channel on for three hours a day and at the time it is on but at least there is not the wall to wall tele evangelism which may also not be appealing to non believers. What may help is that when Daystar closes it would good to have wall to wall Contemporary Christian Music. Better still, the best balance would be to have Christian channel that showed a diverse range of shows suitable for ALL the family ALL the time.
