Hi please dont forget southend based funky SX – online radio station and youth dj academy currently building a community licence application.
Romford is in London, not Essex. Romford does not have an Essex postal address, it is incorrect & misleading to put Essex on any address in Romford, or Hornchurch or Upminster for that matter. Romford has a Romford postal address & is within the London Postal Region.
YOU ARE WRONG, ROMFORD IS IN ESSEX, as is actually ILFORD…. know your history, just because someone said “anything inside the M25 is now London” doesn’t make it so. The ESSEX boundary goes a lot further than you think
And just because you’ve said “Romford is in Essex” it certainly doesn’t make it so. Fact is near Romford the boundary is the M25. If you travel east along the A12 or A127 there are signs with Welcome To Essex written on them just after you’ve passed under the M25. But being within the M25 doesn’t make Romford a part of London, being in a London Borough does. Anyone who knows the geography of London knows this. Both Romford and Ilford are in London and not in Essex.
Politically, towns in south-west Essex such as Loughton, Ilford, Barking, Dagenham, Romford, Hornchurch, Upminster and Rainham are administered by LONDON Boroughs (Redbridge, Barking & Dagenham, and Havering) ; but they do NOT have London “E” postal codes – they have “IG” or “RM” codes. Over the years, the boundaries between Greater London and Essex in these areas have become somewhat blurred … the media persist in describing these towns as being in “EAST LONDON” … but ask anyone living in those area and they’ll insist they are in ESSEX! So who is right?
Hi Sort it out,
Who cares whether Romford or Hornchurch aint in Essex.Sto being petty class sychophant. What matters is that the information was relevant
Incorrect information ain’t revelant it’s just incorrect.
Incidently you cared enough to reply chump.
I would be most grateful if you could advertise our forthcoming event. Anywhere that’s in a London Borough is in London and can’t be in Essex. All London Boroughs are in the ceremonial county of Greater London which means they can’t be in the ceremonial county of Essex.
In recent surveys the vast majority of participants in the London Boroughs of Havering and Redbridge, said they considered their area to be London not Essex.
